Mo’ Bettah Blues

Who is Poor is the first video I ever shot for Poor Majesty, and occurred right before we began work on our record together. Our common friend had left an old 1972 Rhodes electric piano in my art gallery, and we worked out a video surrounding that.

It was pretty much entirely filmed around Sacramento’s Midtown over the course of a Fall evening. Sandra Dee’s barbecue is the restaurant featured in the background. I’ve gotten a few questions about which building painted jazz and rock musicians on their exterior.
