If You Need Help Remembering How You Were Social, I Got You Covered.

I have a series of apps I helped develop with friends while a UX/UI designer at Microsoft and Disney. One of the last ones I worked on was Social Memory. Microsoft is a great place to work for a variety of reasons. My favorite reason is the connections you make to some of the smartest people in the industry.

Social Memory is an app that keeps track of nearly everything you do – or everything you tell it to. It’s sort of diary app that writes itself; It tells you where you’ve been, who you were with, and why you went. Some of that is inputted by the user, but some of it is automatically configured as you move with you device from location to location.

It was originally written for Windows devices – later Android – but was expected to be ported to iPhone, as well. Since I was an iPhone user, I designed everything for that platform, but it was similar across the board. It was a terrific exercise in formatting a large amount of data down to a small UX form.
