CitySkyVue User Experience/User Interface

[one_half]

One of the most frustrating details of travel is finding what’s interesting to do in an unfamiliar city. Yelp provides plenty of details for restaurants, but finding sporting events, musical performances or art projects can be an arduous task. CitySkyVue is an app that collects performances and their venues and puts everything happening in a city in one space. Users can find any registered for that day or any day in the future using the app’s search function. Additionally, CitySkyVue features a basic user profile that is additionally available from a Facebook account, that allows users to see their friends and Facebook friends within range of where they are. This is a great feature to use one’s hometown, as well.

The app is developed for iPhone and Android only, with no plans to release to larger scale devices such as the tablet or iPad. Since most users carry their phones with them at all times, there isn’t a great enough need to port to a larger scale interface. There are six screenshots above, and a small YouTube video showing the process below.
