I first heard this song in high school, and I’ve been in love with it ever since. I don’t remember who sang it in the that first version I heard, but I very clearly remember the Bill Evans version that won me over. It’s interesting that not only do I play this tune every time I have a solo piano gig, I also use it to close down my set. If you hear this piece, you know that I’m about to pack up.

There’s also a youtube video of me playing this a few years ago. I sort of cringe when I see/hear it in the youtube video; there have been a lot of changes to my appearance and playing style.
