I first wrote this song in 2004 for a record I actually wrote for my dad. However, since my father passed in 1983, my mother was a guiding force on the paternal side as well as the maternal side. So, I wrote this song for her.

It featured a great horn solo by famous Seattle jazz trumpeter Tony Grasso and tenor saxophone Brian Kent. I decided to put some of my older material as solo piano on the new record I’m creating. What better choice for Mother’s Day than this piece?

I was attempting to get it posted before then end of Mother’s Day, but as always, I’m running a few minutes late. Regardless, Happy Mother’s Day!
